Monday, 22 January 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced to take out procession on the occasion of Ram Temple consecration on Monday all over Delhi. All big leaders will take part in the procession and bhandaras will also be organised all over Delhi. The programme coincides with the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday attended the three-days special Ramlila programme being organised by the party in the national capital.”

Kejriwal said the AAP government in Delhi is inspired by the concept of "Ram Rajya" and draws motivation from it in providing various facilities to the people of the national capital. Kejriwal made the remarks at the three-day Ramlila event being organised by the Delhi government's Art, Culture and Languages department. The conclusion of the event, which began on Saturday, will coincide with the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Kejriwal said, "Tomorrow (Monday), there is the 'pran prathistha (consecration)' ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Many people will not be able to attend it despite wanting to. I am happy that the Delhi government has organised this event."  Kejriwal said one should seek inspiration from Lord Ram and follow what their parents say and speak the truth.  "Lord Ram's administration is considered 'Ram Rajya'. We are inspired by 'Ram Rajya' and try to run the government taking inspiration from it," he added.

Earlier, AAP MLA Dilip Pandey addressed a press conference and said on the day of consecration of Ram Mandir on Monday, a myriad of auspicious events, including 'Sundarkand' recitations, majestic 'Shobha Yatras' (processions), 'aarti,' and prasad distribution, will unfold across all 70 assembly constituencies.

Pandey said that while the entire country is enthusiastically lined up to welcome Lord Shri Ram, Delhi is not lagging behind. On one hand, Ramleela is being staged in Delhi, and on January 22, all party ministers, MLAs, councillors, leaders, and workers will participate in ‘Bhandaras’, prasad distribution, and Shobha yatra programs organised in celebration of Lord Ram's welcome. “Bhagwan Shri Rama is the ideal of humanity, inspiring the entire nation. The arrival of Prabhu Shri Ram, born in the ‘Raghukul’ dynasty, has filled the entire country with a sense of devotion. The entire nation is warmly welcoming Bhagwan Shri Ram, with folded hands in reverence. In this auspicious process, Delhi is not lagging,” he added.

The AAP MLA stated that Delhi is fully prepared to welcome Bhagwan Shri Ram. On the one hand, in all constituencies of Delhi, last Tuesday, the recitation of Sundarkand was conducted for the worship of Sankat Mochan Bajrang Bali Ji. On the other hand, on the auspicious occasion of ‘Pran Pratishtha' (consecration) of ‘Ram Lalla’ in Ayodhya on Tuesday, various events are being organised in all 70 constituencies of Delhi.

“On this joyous and fortunate occasion, ‘Bhandaras’ (feasts) are being arranged in many locations across 44 constituencies in Delhi. ‘Shobha Yatras' are taking place in seven locations to commemorate the arrival of Prabhu Shri Ram. Additionally, the recitation of Sundarkand is being performed in 3 constituencies. Moreover, in 16-17 constituencies after the aarti (worship), a program for distributing fruit prasad has been scheduled. In other words, there are programs for aarti, Sundarkand recitation, Shobha yatras, and fruit prasad distribution in various locations across all 70 constituencies of Delhi,” the AAP MLA shared.
