Marking the solemn martyrdom day of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji — the younger Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab, led by Cabinet Minister and the state president Aman Arora, on Friday paid heartfelt tributes at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. The homage was part of the concluding day of the Shaheedi Sabha, commemorating their unmatched sacrifices.
Arora, along with Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, and other leaders offered prayers and reflected on the courage and devotion of the Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji, who stood firm in their faith against adversity. He was accompanied by AAP Punjab unit working president and MLA Amansher Singh Sharry Kalsi, Cabinet Ministers — Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Laljit Singh Bhullar, Dr Baljit Kaur, Barinder Goyal, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Dr Ravjot Singh, Mohinder Bhagat, Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, and Hardeep Singh Mundian.
AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang, along with several MLAs including Chetan Singh Jauramajra, Kulwant Singh, Jasvir Singh Raja Gill, Karamveer Singh Ghuman, Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Jai Kishan Singh Rori, Santosh Kataria, Raman Arora, Inderjit Kaur Maan, Balkar Singh, Lakhbir Singh Rai, Gurinder Singh Garry Waraich, Rupinder Singh Happy, Jagtar Singh, Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina, Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, Amandeep Kaur Arora, Gurdit Singh Sekhon, senior leaders Deepak Bali and Dr Sunny Ahluwalia were also present to offer their prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, Arora emphasized, “The sacrifice of the Sahibzadas is a timeless symbol of bravery and devotion. Their legacy inspires us to uphold truth and justice fearlessly. Today, we pray for the well-being of Punjab and its people, guided by the principles of humility and service.”
The leaders highlighted the importance of raising awareness about this pivotal chapter of Sikh history, which continues to resonate as a beacon of valor and sacrifice. During the visit, Arora and the party delegation partook in langar, sitting in the traditional ‘pangat’, embodying the spirit of equality and community as per Sikh traditions.
Collectively acknowledging the enduring relevance of the Sahibzadas’ legacy, the leaders reiterated the need to draw strength from their sacrifices in building a just and equitable society.
The gathering concluded with prayers for the development and prosperity of Punjab and a renewed commitment to standing firm against injustice. The homage at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib served as a poignant reminder of the enduring spirit of sacrifice and resilience in Sikh history.
