AAP, BJP playing shadow boxing: Congress

Saturday, 13 July 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Delhi Congress President Devender Yadav on Friday said that they will wait for the final decision of the larger bench of the Supreme Court on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s bail plea, stating that their stand has been very clear that innocent should get bail, and the corrupt should be in jail.

Hitting out at the BJP and AAP, Yadav said, “While Delhi Congress has always highlighted the voice of the people against corruption, AAP and BJP have been playing shadow boxing, as when ‘one commits corruption, the other remains silent’.”

He claimed that the Congress, in the run up to the Delhi Assembly elections next year, will forcefully expose the corruption and failures of the Kejriwal Government. “Kejriwal came to  power on the anti-corruption plank, but now two former Ministers and the Chief Minister himself were in jail on corruption and money laundering charges, while many AAP Ministers were forced to quit on corruption charges, and many MLAs were facing corruption charges, yet the AAP Government was deflecting the corruption issue to mislead the people,” he alleged.
