6-year-old molested by neighbour

Shahjahanabad police have booked a youth who molested a 6-year-old girl after forcefully taking her to his house, girl raised an alert when the accused started indecent acts forcing the accused to escape.

As soon as he left her, the girl opened the gate and escaped.

The student who reached home first told her aunt. Thereafter, on Tuesday evening, the girl's mother returned from work and went to the police station with her father and lodged a complaint.

On Wednesday, the accused youth was taken into custody. A case was registered against the accused under sections including molestation and POCSO Act, hostage taking.

The 6-year-old girl lives in Shahjahanabad area. She studies in class one in a private school. Her father works as a laborer and her mother engaged in household works. The accused Raju Oswal lives in the neighborhood of the girl's house. He does whitewashing work.

SI and Investigating Officer Yogita Jain said that on Tuesday afternoon, the girl was playing outside the house. Then Raju Oswal forcibly took her to his room. The victim herself opened the gate of the accused's house and went to her house. In the evening, the parents reached the police station and registered a case against the accused.

The victim girl's aunt, who lives in the neighborhood, said that the accused Raju was doing whitewashing work in his brother's house. Since then, he had bad intentions towards the girl.

At the time of the incident, the girl's father was at home, he was drunk. First, the accused did obscenity with the girl in her own house. Later, finding her alone outside, he took her to his house, where he molested her.

The girl somehow got free from his clutches. She told me about the incident. Later, when her mother returned, she was also told about the incident. After this, when people gathered and reached the accused's house, his wife said that it was a minor mistake and asked for forgiveness. When people protested, the husband and wife escaped.
