Four officers of the Indian Police Services (IPS) cadre were transferred on Tuesday. The transfers were effected with the permission of the Election Commission.
SN Sabat has been removed from the post of Director General of Police (Prison Administration and Reforms) and given the responsibility as Director General of Crime Branch, Crime Investigation Department (CBCID). PV Ramasastri, who has returned from central deputation, has been made the Director General of Prison Administration and Reforms.
Additional Director General of Police Anand Swaroop has been sent to the Police Headquarters. He has also returned from central deputation. Apart from this, Additional Director General of Police Dr N Ravinder has been made the GSO of the Director General of Police.
