Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) is going to start the third edition of the domestic women's T20 league in Jharkhand from September 5. In this regard, JSCA held a press conference on Saturday.
JSCA Vice President Narendra Sinha, Secretary Devashish Chakraborty, Joint Secretary PN Singh and WCA representatives were present in the press conference.
On the occasion Sinha informed that the competition will be inaugurated on September 5 at JSCA. In which MLA Kalpana Soren will be present as the chief guest. "The competition will be played in collaboration with WCA as per the guidelines of BCCI. The competition is being organized on a large scale. Players will also be given cash awards and gifts," he added.
Joint Secretary PM Singh said that five teams have been kept in the competition. These include Ranchi Royals, Jamshedpur Titans, Dhanbad Dragons, Dumka Dynamos, Bokaro Warriors. Each team consists of 16 players. All teams have been formed by mixing senior, under 23 and under 19 players. The tournament matches will be round robin, during which a total of 13 matches will be played. The tournament matches will be played at the JSCA International Stadium from 6 to 15 September.
Secretary Debashish Chakraborty said that two matches will be played every day. The first match will be played from 9 am. Spectators will get free entry to the match. Spectators will be able to enter only from the South Pavilion. The aim of the JSCA tournament is to promote women's cricket in Jharkhand. The aim is to provide a platform for women cricketers to perform excellently and inspire future generations.
