A 25-year-old youth died after he was hit by a car in Naveen Basti of Kanasaiya at 11 pm on Saturday night, Bilkharia police have started an investigation.
Police said that Kamal was sitting outside his house talking over mobile phone when the accused took turn in his new car at an uncontrolled speed and lost its balance and hit Kamal sitting on the platform. After the accident, the accused driver himself took the injured youth to the hospital.
The accused fled as soon as the doctors declared the youth dead. Bilkhiria police has registered a case in the matter.
After the post-mortem on Sunday, the body was handed over to the family. The police are talking about registering an FIR against the accused driver after the detailed statements of the family members.
Kamal Anand lived in the Naveen Basti of Kanhasaiya and used to do labour contracting in Bhopal. His brother Deepak told that Kamal was talking on the phone sitting on the platform outside the house on Saturday night.
