Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal (A Regional Centre of National Museum of Natural History, New Delhi) organized a workshop on "Waste to Art" on Thursday under Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2024. Total 25 students from various schools participated in this workshop.
During the inauguration session of workshop, Head of Office of the Museum Beenish Rafat welcomed all the participants. Dr. Beenish Rafat briefed about the importance of cleanliness.
During the workshop, all the participants created flower pot, pen-pencil stand, various type of flower and decorative items etc. with the help of waste materials like water bottle, old newspaper, old cardboard, dry leaf & branches of tree etc. under the guidance of Navin Kumar, Artist and Arvind Anupam, Modeller of RMNH, Bhopal. At the end of the workshop, all participants took the Swachhata Pledge and Manik Lal Gupta made an appeal to the participants to keep clean their surrounding.
A Plantation Programme was also organized in the campus of museum under "Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign. Head of Office of the Museum Beenish Rafat; Scientist-C, Manik Lal Gupta and Staff members planted various plants in museum campus.
Museum also organized an inauguration of Hindi Pakhwada-2024. Dr. Beenish Rafat, Head of Office of the Museum made an appeal to the staff members to work more in Hindi language. Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-C detailed about the va
rious competitions to be organized during the Hindi Pakhwada to encourage the staff to towards Hindi language. All members of staff expressed their views about importance of Hindi; during the programme. Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-C coordinated this workshop.
