Two women from Bhopal were duped of Rs 15 lakh in the name of facilitating a job, victims were lured with the promise of getting jobs in HR departments.
Police said that to gain their trust, fake offer letters and joining letters were mailed to the women. The accused also conducted online interviews of both the women. They were even lured with a salary of Rs 50,000 per month. When both of them could not join even after months, they complained to the concerned police stations.
The police called it a cyber fraud and refused to register an FIR. Then the women lodged a complaint with the Police Commissioner office.
Hina Aftab (19) of Fatehgarh told that accused Nabeel Siddiqui lives in Kamla Park area and posed as HR of Amazon company. The accused knew her from the past. He lured her with the promise of getting her an HR job in Amazon. He deceived her by saying that he can get her this job if she spends some money.
There will be an agreement in the job that the company will not fire her for at least five years. The job will be work from home. After falling for the accused, Hina gave seven lakh rupees to the accused in about 10 installments through Phone Pay and RTGS. By giving the same kind of deception, the accused has also cheated Fatima Khan, resident of Jahangirabad.
