An RPF team rescued two minors from the Daltonganj Railway Station late on Sunday evening. It was a girl aged 6 years old and a boy aged17 years old.
RPF inspector incharge, Garhwa Road Junction Post, Banarasi Yadav, said the RPF team rescued the two from Daltonganj railway station but from two different platforms.
The girl told the RPF that she fled from her house as her grandmother had chided her. The boy told the RPF that he was a class 10 student and he had no interest in studies.
However, RPF inspector incharge Yadav said "We took the cell number of their families and spoke to them. There came an altogether different story."
The girl had left her house in the morning. The boy left his house saying he was going to the coaching centre.
As the rescued boy and girl were of the same police station but of different villages under Bihar's Aurangabad district RPF team was suspicious of them from the beginning.
They had eloped. They knew if they stood together on the platform RPF would doubt. So the girl stood alone at one platform and the boy at the other platform but both were eyeful to each other.
The rescued minor boy and girl were handed over to the child welfare committee here in Daltonganj. The members of their families have arrived to take back the two.
