15 JSSC-CGL paper leak agitators booked

In the question paper leak case before the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission-Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) examination, an FIR has been registered under various sections against three to four thousand people, including the 15 named, who were protesting in front of the Commission on January 31.

The protesters surrounded the Commission's office and damaged Government property. The FIR has been registered on the statement of Puani Ravi Keshari posted at Namkum police station. When the agitating aspirants furious during agitation the police lathicharged the candidates who were gheraoing the JSSC office.

The candidates were trying to open the gate of the office. The police-administration tried a lot to convince the candidates but the students were not ready to listen. After this, lathi charge was used to control the students.

JSSC CGL examination was held on January 28th but the question paper of General Studies of this exam was leaked on social media. Answers to some questions were going viral on WhatsApp even before the exam. After which JSSC issued a notification to cancel the General Knowledge exam. Angered by the cancellation of the paper, students are protesting by reaching the JSSC office in Namkum.

The students protesting demanding cancellation of JSSC CGL examination became furious after the lathicharge. The angry students did not spare even the journalists present at the spot. They were beaten and abused. Ranchi City SP, Rajkumar Mehta reached the spot after receiving information about the violent demonstration by students.

Jharkhand State Student Union President Devendra Nath Mahato, Manoj Yadav, Prem Nayak, Mahendra Prasad, Lucky Ramu, Sanjay Mehta, Ravindra Mahato, Eugene Mahato alias Yoges Chandra Bharti, Baby Mahato, Vinay Mehta, Mahendra Prasad Mahato, Vishal Paul, Chandan, An FIR has been registered under various sections against 3000 to 4000 unknown persons including Saina Parveen Dev Mahato on charges of abusing, damaging government property, assaulting police personnel and media personnel and creating obstruction in government work.

According to the FIR, the protesting people pelted stones and beat up deployed constable Sunil Kumar Jha, Selection Commission Chairman Neeraj Sinha, journalists of daily newspapers and electronic media and other police personnel. Along with this, there is an allegation of damaging the Chairman's car and the office of the Selection Commission..
