As per the orders of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Coal, Government of India and under the guidance of Coal India and under the leadership of CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 Abhiyan 4.0 is being run from September 17 to October 2.
Under this campaign, various awareness programs related to cleanliness are being organized in all command areas including the headquarters.
With the aim of bringing awareness about cleanliness among the employees, stakeholders and the general public in the areas and headquarters, programs related to staging street plays, use of jute bags and other cloth bags, not using single-use plastic, cleaning your surroundings, etc. are being run.
Under this campaign, jute bags and dustbins etc. are also being distributed among the general public. In this episode, essay writing, quiz, poster making etc. competitions are being organized in the schools present in the command areas of CCL for awareness about cleanliness among the students.
It is worth mentioning that the theme of Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan is "Swabhaav Swachhata - Sanskar Swachhata". This theme indicates a change in perspective of moving towards behavioural change with a revised approach by adopting cleanliness as a part of daily life and culture.
It is worth noting that CCL is committed to environmental protection along with fulfilling the energy needs of the nation.
