Senior representatives from the US government and aircraft major Boeing visited Sulabh campus in the national Capital on Tuesday.
This visit underscored the impactful collaboration between Sulabh and Boeing in empowering children, with a strong emphasis on educational advancement and community development.
Among the delegation were Nancy Jackson, Deputy Assistant Secretary, US Government, Salil Gupte, President, Boeing India & South Asia, Philip M Cummings, Deputy Minister Counselor – Economic Section, US Embassy of India, Praveena Yagnambhat, Chief of Staff & BGE Lead Boeing India and South Asia.
Nancy praised Sulabh’s initiatives supported by Boeing and highlighted the US government’s commitment to improving education for underserved children, especially girls.
Gupte addressed the students and encouraged them to contribute to India’s future. Praveena Yagnambhat fondly remembered late Dr.Bindeshwar Pathak, Sulabh’s founder, and acknowledged his contributions to improving lives through sanitation.
She also shared details on Boeing’s “Sukanya” program, which is aimed at getting young children interested in STEM.
“The partnership between Boeing and Sulabh is anchored in our mutual dedication to promoting women’s empowerment, ensuring dignity and health, and making quality education accessible to all,” remarked Kumar Dilip, Sulabh President.
