The Uttar Pradesh government has made it mandatory for all state employees to disclose details of their movable and immovable properties to be eligible for promotion. Employees failing to comply with this directive will not only forfeit their promotion prospects but may also face disciplinary action, officials confirmed on Thursday.
In a directive issued by the state government, employees have been instructed to submit property details via the Manav Sampada portal by January 31, 2025. The information will include disclosures for the year 2024, which must be updated starting January 1, 2025.
“Failure to provide property details within the stipulated time will disqualify employees from consideration for promotion.
Additionally, disciplinary action will be initiated under the Uttar Pradesh Government Servant (Discipline and Appeal) Rules,” the government stated in its letter.
Departments have been tasked with ensuring strict compliance with this directive. Officers have been instructed to monitor the updates on the Manav Sampada portal and ensure that all employees adhere to the rules.
The government emphasized that transparency in property declarations is crucial for maintaining accountability and integrity among public servants.
Employees who do not update their property details may face disciplinary actions, including penalties under the Uttar Pradesh Government Servant (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.
These measures aim to enforce adherence to the government’s commitment to transparency and integrity in governance.
This initiative underscores the state government’s focus on fostering accountability among its workforce. By linking property disclosures to promotions, the administration aims to ensure that all employees adhere to ethical standards and operate transparently in their official capacities.
State employees have been urged to complete the process promptly to avoid repercussions and ensure their eligibility for career advancement.
