The Economic Offence Cell of Goa Police has fast tracked its investigation in the infamous ‘Share Market’ scam in Goa. It has registered an enforcement case information report (ECIR) against key accused Myron Rodrigues and others. According to the investigations, the accused's intention from the outset has been to deceive and defraud Goan investors. Myron Rodrigues and his wife, Deepali Parab, posing as experts, who deal in the stock market directly promised investors lucrative returns for their investment.
The moniker ‘Fatorda to London’ is increasingly being attached to the scam primarily because of the connections of the accused. Sushant Manohar Ghodge is a close associate of Goa Forward Party MLA and Former Dy CM of Goa Vijai Sardesai. He held the position of PS to the Minister, when Vijai Sardesai was Minister of Town and Country planning, Agriculture, Archives, Archaeology & Factories & Boilers, Govt of Goa. Even as the investigation is on, it is fast becoming evident that the accused planned to swindle the money of the investors and benefit from it.
