In a social media post in Hindi, President Murmu said, "I extend my heartfelt greetings to the people of Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Lakshadweep on their formation day."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Haryana and Chhattisgarh on their states' formation day.

In social media posts, Modi highlighted various features of these states as he extended his wishes to the people living there.

He said in another post, "Kerala is known for its mesmerising landscapes, vibrant traditions and hardworking people. People from Kerala have made their mark all over the world, across different fields. May the people of the state keep progressing in the times to come."

Haryana is known for its rich and historic heritage and has always made important contributions to the country's development, the prime minister added.

In his greetings, Home Minister Shah said people of these states had contributed immensely to nation-building.

In separate messages on social media, Shah expressed hope that the states would continue the journey of progress and development uninterrupted in the coming years.
