The Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Thursday interacted with 200 Industrialists operating in the national Capital who raised various pressing issues including exorbitant power tariffs, waterlogging and dark spots among others.
“In the "Samvaad@RajNiwas" dialogue series, engaged with nearly 200 representatives of industrial units operating in “Industrial Areas” across Delhi, today. Having visited such areas, on many occasions in the past, this was the first structured interaction at the Raj Niwas,” the Delhi LG shared in a post on ‘X’.
“During the session, industrialists from areas such as Kirti Nagar, Badli, Udyog Nagar, Wazirpur and Okhla etc., raised several pressing issues, including exorbitant power tariffs, unavailability of potable and industrial water, waterlogging, dark spots, insufficient fire stations, encroachments, lease agreements, freehold property concerns, subsidies for solar plant installations, lack of ESI health centres and inadequate DTC bus connectivity,” he said.
He assured the participants that Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and Delhi Police will immediately address their concerns and other agencies like Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC), Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Power and Delhi Jal Board, would be requested to address their grievances and other related long-standing issues promptly.
“Reiterated my commitment to improving the Ease of Doing Business in Delhi, which in turn contributes significantly to the city’s financial health and creates employment. Also urged the representatives of industries to fulfil their tax obligations on time and ensure that no activity is undertaken that causes pollution in the city,” he stated.
