Aug 15 deadline for M Tech application in GRSP 

Amritsar: M.Tech (Transport Planning) and M. Tech. (Urban & Regional Planning) Five Year Intergrated Programme, are run in Guru Ramdas School of Planning, Guru Nanak Dev University. Prof. (Dr.) Ashwani Luthra, Head of the Department said that the candidates willing to take admission against these vacant seats are required to apply on the University website www.gnduadmissions.org. Last date to deposit the application fee and online application form is 15.8.2024. Counseling will be held on the basis of "First Come First Serve Basis" till 16.8.2024.  Eligibility for admission to PG programme M. Tech. (Transport Planning) is Bachelor's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning/Architecture/Civil Engineering with at least 50% marks (45% for SC) in aggregate OR Master's Degree in Geography/Sociology/Economics with at least 50% marks (45% for SC) in aggregate or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto.

PSPCL's HRD Wing conducts tree plantation drive

Patiala: The Human Resource Development (HRD) wing of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) conducted a successful tree plantation drive at the AE Hostel of Technical Training Institute (TTI) in Patiala today. The initiative, part of PSPCL's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, saw the plantation of 255 trees, including shade, flowering, fruit, and ornamental varieties. Er R.S. Saini, Director Human Resources (HR), led the drive, accompanied by Er Inderjit Singh, CE/HRD, along with other officers and staff members. The event underscores PSPCL's dedication to greening initiatives, championed by Er Baldev S Sran, CMD, PSPCL.

Ex-RTI Commissioner visits GNDU Law Department

Amritsar:  Dr. Viney Kapoor Mehra, Former Head, Department of Laws, GNDU; Former RTI Commissioner and Former Vice Chancellor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Law University, Haryana visited the Department of Law of Guru Nanak Dev University. Expert in Family Law, Dr Mehra delivered a lecture on 'The Nuances of Live in Relationship, Same Sex Couples and the changing Social Structure in the Society'. She advised the students to cling to their traditional roots and give a mark of caution for future generations. The session was very interactive and informative for the students.

DSU ends Level-3 sports test for admission

New Delhi: Delhi Sports University is pleased to announce the successful completion of Level-3 Testing for sports talent identification for admissions in Delhi Sports School for academic session 2024-25, conducted from July 16th to July 18th, 2024, across various venues in Delhi. The Level-3 Testing aimed to assess and identify promising sports talent across multiple disciplines. Prior to the event, all shortlisted students who were called for the Level-3 testing were promptly notified through circulars posted on the DSU/DSS website, emails, and contact was established on their registered mobile numbers. Admit cards were also sent to them on their registered mail id containing the schedule of the tests. Accommodation arrangements were made free of cost for students traveling from outside Delhi/NCR, ensuring their comfort and convenience during the Level-3 testing.
