The project to develop Noida International Film City, led by filmmaker Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP in collaboration with Bhutani Group, on Thursday advanced significantly.
After winning the bid with a promising 18 per cent revenue share offer to the Uttar Pradesh Government, Kapoor and his team have signed a concession agreement with the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
This agreement allows them to proceed with the development of the Film City on a sprawling 1,000-acre site near Noida.
The signing ceremony, attended by Kapoor, Ashish Bhutani, and senior YEIDA officials including CEO Arun Vir Singh, marks a crucial milestone. The initial phase of development will cover 230 acres, focusing on creating world-class infrastructure for the film and media industry. The project, estimated to cost Rs 1,510 crore, emphasizes a strategic blend of commercial and industrial zones within the Film City to foster economic growth and cultural development in the region.
