A 24-year-old youth was stabbed to death while his brother escaped with injuries at Kajli Kheda Kolar area after having a fight over setting up a vegetable stall with a local shopkeeper.

In the incident one youth died while the condition of the other is critical. He has been admitted to a private hospital. Kolar police have registered a case of murder and started investigation. At present, both the accused are absconding.

Police found there was a dispute between the two sides for the last 3 years regarding the stall in front of the shop and when there was a dispute between them on Thursday, the accused attacked a young man with a knife in his stomach and chest while his brother was attacked in the neck.

Viram Tomar of Ahmedpur Road, Charnal Berasia. For 15 years, Kajali Kheda lived with his family in his own house near PNB Bank, Kolar, Bhopal. There is a shop in his house which is given on rent. For the last few days, two youths used to stand in front of the shop with a vegetable cart in the evening. For some days they were ignored. But when he was asked not to set up a stall in front of the shop, the accused started abusing and threatening him.

Due to the cart standing in front of the shop, the customers used to have difficulty in parking their vehicles. This started affecting the customer base of the mobile shop. The shopkeeper continuously refused to park the cart in front of the shop. On Thursday night too, there was a dispute between the shopkeeper and the two youths who were setting up carts regarding the same thing.

Kolar police station in-charge Ashutosh Upadhyay said that a case of murder has been registered in the matter. At present, one accused has been identified.
