The Forest (Conservation) Amendment Act 2023 has become the focal point of discussion nowadays. In pursuit of greater clarity and understanding of the provisions of this act, the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) Bhopal and National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal jointly organizing a one-day sensitization workshop today.
The theme for the workshop is "Forest Conservation Act Amendments and Compensatory Conservation Regimes: Emerging Legal Scenarios". This workshop will discuss the various aspects of the amendments, shedding light on the implications of these changes.
The workshop shall be attended by Environmentalists, Civil Societies, NGOs, Corporates, Forest Officials, Scientists, Officials and Students from distinguished Universities. The workshop will feature AK Sinha, DDG, IRO, MoEFCC; Subhash Chandra, CEO, National Campa; R.K. Gupta, PCCF & HoFF, Madhya Pradesh; Pankaj Agrawal, PCCF, Madhya Pradesh; K Ravichandran, Director, IIFM and Prof. Rajiv Kumar Khare from NLIU as the key speakers for the occasion.
