A 24-year-old woman of Ayodhya Nagar area has lodged complaint of sexual harassment against her fiance; accused made relationship with the victim after the marriage was fixed and later refused to marry.

After the victim reported the atrocity police registered a case against the accused and started searching for the accused. A case of attempt to murder has also been registered against the victim girl in the past.

Even before this complaint of sexual assualt the victim had filed a rape case against a youth in Narmadapuram district.

SI Gaurav Singh said that the 24-year-old girl, originally from Narmadapuram district, lives with her parents in a rented house in the area. She formerly worked in a call centre.

Meanwhile, in the month of June, her marriage was scheduled with a youth Vijay Ahirwar of Narmadapuram, Sohagpur. After the relationship, the young man reached the girl's house to meet her on October 23 where taking advantage of the girl being alone at the house he promised to marry her and developed physical relations with the victim.

Recently the youth refused to marry the girl. On this, the victim reached the police station on Tuesday and complained. The police have registered a case of rape against the accused.

During the investigation, the police came to know that in the year 2020, the girl had filed a case of rape against a young man in a police station in Narmadapuram district.

After this, in the year 2021, Bhopal Police arrested the girl along with other accused in the case of fatal attack on a cab driver. After this the girl had served jail for some time. The girl was released and after the youth came to know about the girl he refused to marry her.
