The Tagore International Literary Arts Festival, also known as ‘Vishwarang,’ is the largest celebration of literature, art, and culture. It began on Thursday at the Rabindranath Tagore University campus with a ‘Vishva Yatra’ with great pomp and show.
This event is bringing together hundreds of artists, writers, linguists, and creators from India and beyond. This is the fifth edition of Vishwarang Mahotsav. Madhuri Ramdhari (general secretary of Vishwa Hindi Secretariat) from Mauritius was the chief guest in the inaugural session. She began the festivities by lighting the lamp. Chief Guest Dr. Madhuri Ramdhari said in her statement that in the event of Vishwarang, Hindi can be seen blossoming and literature appears alive, arts appear cheerful. Such an event is a great need today. Events like Vishwarang are playing an important role in making Hindi the world language. The Vishwarang seen from here should reach different countries of the world.When good works like Vishwarang happen, they are cherished for years. The work that is being done in Vishvarang for Hindi, culture and literature will remain in people's memory for a hundred years.Also, while talking about the role of Vishwarang director Santosh Agua in the promotion of Hindi, she said that the power of taking the society together is called joint power and Santosh Agua has that power.
That's why they are making such a big vision and moving forward with the team.Vishvarang Director Santosh Choubey said in his statement that Vishvarang has become a movement in favor of Hindi. Under this, it is working deeply in Hindi and Indian languages, due to which it has become a big domain. We believe that Hindi should not be seen in opposition to other languages because every language has its own respect and dignity.
The role of dialects is an important aspect in this. We have to take them along.Dialects provide strength and flavor to the language. Further in his statement, while talking about the literature of NRIs, he said that we need to look at it seriously. He described art, culture and literature as a combined force which works to connect.
He also praised NEP and talked about seeing language as a skill.In the welcome statement, Aditi Chaturvedi, Co-Director of Vishwarang, explained about the concept of Vishwarang and gave detailed information about the first edition to the fourth edition. During this, she also told about continuing Vishvarang even during the Covid period.Ram Takshak ji said in his address that under the leadership of Vishwa Rang, work is being done to enrich Indian languages and culture. To make it successful, a shared world is working together in the form of Santosh Choubey, Mandloi ji, Shivji and Mukesh Verma ji. Expatriate writers can definitely make a valuable contribution in enriching it.This Vishwarang is also providing a global platform to expatriate writers. On this occasion, Santosh Chaubey was given the Pt. Tilak Raj Sharma Smriti Shikhar Samman by Indrajit Sharma of the New York organization. The inauguration ceremony was conducted by Vinay Upadhyay, Director of Tagore World Center for Art and Culture.Earlier, the program started with floral tributes at the statue of Tagore.
