Sehore police have arrested two accused who pushed a 33-year-old man of the running car at Bhopal-Gwalior highway in Sehore who was dragged for about 25 km after he got stuck with the seat belt.
Shyampur police of Sehore has arrested two accused and registered a case of murder. One of the accused is a cousin of the deceased. All were returning to Bhopal from Rajasthan.
According to SP Mayank Awasthi, information was received at 12 in the night of Saturday that a person was being dragged in a car on the Bhopal-Gwalior highway. By the time the car was stopped near Doraha toll post, 33 year old Sandeep, father of Ramesh, resident of Bhopal, who was trapped in the seat belt, had died.
According to SP Awasthi, in this case the police interrogated eyewitness Mukesh Mewada and both the accused. It came to light that Sandeep had a fight with his cousin Sanjeev while sitting in the car. After the dispute escalated, Sandeep was thrown out of the car. Sandeep got stuck in the seat belt.
The young man kept getting stuck in the seat belt on the back side of the driver's seat and was dragged.
The accused are identified as Sanjeev Naqwal (53)
and Rajesh Chadhar (38), Awadhpuri, Bhopal.
At around 10 pm locals spotted something dragging in the car at the flyover intersection, at that time the car would be at a speed of around 80-100 and thought some bag was hanging and went a little closer to car ,tried to stop them by taking down the windshield of his car but they failed to listen and immediately informed the police.
Another vehicles by followed the car and finally they had to stop the car at the toll plaza. This body was hanging towards the rear of the car, entangled with the seat belt located opposite the driving seat. There were two youths in the car who were in an intoxicated state.
