Acharya Balkrishna has said that he has talked with those connected to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya regarding the use of ghee made from the Badri cows of Uttarakhand for rituals in the temple. Addressing the media in Haridwar on Tuesday, he said that the Punganur cow breed gained fame when it got associated with the Tirupati Balaji temple. “I thought of Uttarakhand’s Badri cow which is small in size and gives one to three litres of milk. I have talked to various persons connected to the Ram Mandir because I believe that if the ghee made from the milk of the Badri cow is used in the Ram Mandir, it will not only popularise this breed but also have other positive impacts. If this happens, it will help protect this cow and address migration from the mountains- which is a major problem faced in the State. This will also benefit the people of the State economically,” he said.

Balkrishna further said that Patanjali recently sent relief materials to Nepal. “There are some people who bring negativity into Indo-Nepal relations. However, when we sent about 60 tonnes of materials in eight trucks to Nepal we saw the people there raising slogans praising the Government of India. We were happy that our effort helped strengthen the friendship between the two nations.”

He said that the Yog Gram in Haridwar has so far successfully helped lakhs of people overcome various diseases and health conditions using naturopathy, Ayurveda and holistic healing.
