The AAP Government on Friday claimed that several projects including, Delhi Budget announcement initiatives aimed at generating 20 lakh new employment opportunities in the Capital, have been derailed due to the abrupt termination of advisers, consultants and fellows appointed by the Kejriwal Government.
The fallout has cast a shadow over the redevelopment of six markets, three food hubs, and the implementation of five key policies designed to uplift the city’s socio-economic landscape.
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj expressed his concern over the removal of the Chief Minister’s Urban Leader Fellowship and DRC. He stated these fellows come from prestigious educational backgrounds.
In order to cite a few examples, one fellow completed her MBA from an Indian Institute of Management(IIM) and did her graduation from Jesus and Mary College. He said the second fellow was a graduate in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce(SRCC) and then from the Delhi School of Economics she completed her MA in Economics. One fellow had a degree of Master’s in Public Policy from Tata Institute of Social Sciences(TISS).
The fourth fellow who used to work for us had a degree in Master’s of Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work.
“All of these fellows were qualified professionals who were educated at the esteemed universities.
These fellows used to contribute significantly to the industries department. Generally, the consultants we hire at government levels are supposed to pay them in lakhs in a month.
These fellows used to work closely on the public policies of the government”.
“They used to coordinate with the IAS officers and other DANICS officers(The Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshyadweep, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli (Civil) Services) used to do research on the issue.
“Fellows used to study similar policies from other states, what these policies lack and what their advantages are to the people.
“At each step, they used work for smooth and quick developments. But since these fellows have been sacked, a lot of governmental work has been stopped.
“With this intention, these fellows have been removed so that development work for the people could be stopped,” he said.
According to AAP Government, these fellows, advisors, consultants, and other experts played a crucial role in identifying and addressing the key challenges faced by the people of Delhi.
Their role encompassed extensive market research, data-driven insights, and the formulation of targeted solutions to alleviate the hardships experienced by the people.
