The seventh three day convention of AJSU Party started on Fridayat Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi, The convention will run from September 29 and it will continue till October 1.

Inaugurating the convention AJSY Party Chief, Sudesh Mahto said that born from the womb of Jharkhand movement and nourished by the martyrdom and sacrifice of the sons of Jharkhand, AJSU Party is a political organization fighting for the dreams of the martyrs and the aspirations and desires of the youth, farmers, laborers, deprived, minorities and women of Jharkhand. Since the year 2000, AJSU Party as a political party has been fighting for the basic needs, social concerns, economic progress, political consciousness, protection and promotion of cultural heritage and their rights of the people of Jharkhand, he added.

Mahto said, “After going through long struggle and bloody movements, we all got our separate Jharkhand. In the year 2000, on the birth anniversary of Jharkhand, there was a lot of celebration and the jungles and mountains danced to the sound of drums. The gentlemen paid tribute to the martyrs. With everyone's cooperation, we all vowed to beautify Jharkhand with flowers of prosperity, dreamed of rights for women, employment for the unemployed, prosperity in the homes of farmers and laborers. Apart from his committee participation but also with his unlimited energy and enthusiasm and his solid commitment and determination towards Jharkhand identity, AJSU remained a part of the Government. We continued to struggle for the rights and development of tribals, OBCs and backward classes. AJSU represents the struggling stream of youth, women and the deprived in the political arena of Jharkhand.”

The party Chief said that the looting of Jharkhand's water, land, forests and minerals gave birth to the Jharkhand Nirman Movement. “The failure of the Governments formed after the creation of the State to fulfill the objectives of the Jharkhand movement has once again placed the State on the verge of a revolution. To pave the way forward, there seems to be a need to remember our martyrs and take to the streets with a shroud over our heads,” he added.

“In this Jharkhand Navnirman Sankalp Samagam, serious brainstorming has been done to decide the way forward for Jharkhand Navnirman by discussing the current political, economic, social and other burning issues. AJSU Party aims to achieve the basic objectives of the Jharkhand movement in the next 5 years and realize the dreams of Jharkhand by following the ideological and political conventions that emerged from the brainstorming of subject experts, intellectuals, social, political workers and representatives of voluntary organizations,” said Mahto.
