Strengthen 108 Ambulance service at any cost: CM

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today reviewed the status of hospitals run by the Chief Minister Critical Illness Treatment Scheme, Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Employees' State Insurance Corporation and the updated work progress of 108 ambulance service in the Jharkhand Ministry. On this occasion, he gave many important guidelines to the officials. The CM said that it should be ensured that the people of the state get real and complete benefits of the Chief Minister Critical Illness Treatment Scheme and Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The new provisions made under these health schemes should be fully utilized.

To avail the benefits of these schemes, take full care that there is no complexity in the processes. Full benefits of medical grants should be ensured to the people of the state. The CM said that no patient should be entangled in the rules and regulations. Make the procedures simple and easy to avoid any confusion regarding availing the benefits of the schemes.

The CM directed the officials that complaints are being continuously received regarding the 108 ambulance service operating in the state. 108 ambulance service within the state should be improved at all costs by 15th November 2023. All ambulances should be fully operational by the said date. He said that if negligence is found in ambulance services, strict action will be taken against the concerned. Improve the medical system at all costs. Ambulance service should be available to the public smoothly and on time. Insensitivity will not be excusable under any circumstances.

In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding health insurance of registered labour class. Discussions were held on providing health insurance benefits up to Rs 5 lakh to registered workers.

 

In the meeting, the updated work progress of the hospitals located at Namkum (Ranchi), Adityapur (Seraikela-Kharsawan) and Maithon (Dhanbad) run by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation was kept by officials before the Chief Minister. There was also discussion regarding the establishment of new hospitals of Employees' State Insurance Corporation in Bokaro and Deoghar in the coming time.

On this occasion, State Health, Medical Services and Family Welfare Minister Banna Gupta, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Health Department Arun Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary Finance Department Ajay Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary of Labour Department Rajesh Sharma, Labour Commissioner Sanjeev Besra, MD NHM Alok Trivedi and other officials were present.
