The memory of former President of India, great scientist and teacher late APJ Abdul Kalam's visit to BMHRC 21 years ago was revived today, when Medical Education and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang visited the hospital premises and unveiled photo exhibition Kalam-Vithika.
In Kalam gallery, photos related to the former President's visit to BMHRC and meeting with gas victims have been displayed. After his arrival, Dr. Kalam wrote a message for the BMHRC in the visitor's book. This message and its Hindi translation have also been displayed in the exhibition.
Significantly, Dr. Abdul Kalam had come to BMHRC on September 5 2002. During this, Dr. Kalam took stock of the facilities available in the hospital and met the patients suffering from gas.
BMHRC is a great institution. The infrastructure here is very good. This organization has a different identity and it is committed to serve the gas victims and every person of this organization has to take it to new heights by giving their excellent contribution. Appreciating the unveiling of Kalam-Vitika at BMHRC, he said that Dr. Kalam is the pride of the country and it was my privilege to share the dais with him, said Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang.
Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director in-charge of BMHRC, first expressed her gratitude to Medical Education and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Mr. Vishwas Sarang for visiting BMHRC and said that Dr. Kalam had come to BMHRC 23 years ago.
