Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal on Thursday said that the State has been leading in the region in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) spending, with Rs 1,457.13 crore spent over the past three years. Education received Rs 538.85 crore during this period, he added.
In a meeting focused on CSR, Kaushal directed Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments (HODs), and Deputy Commissioners to submit potential projects from their respective departments eligible for implementation under CSR. The identified CSR sectors include Eradicating Hunger, Poverty, and Malnutrition, Promoting Healthcare, Preventive Health, and Sanitation, Providing Sanitation and Safe Drinking Water, Empowering Through Education, Vocational Skills, and Livelihood, Promoting Gender Equality and Women Empowerment, Environmental Sustainability and Conservation, Preserving National Heritage, Art, and Culture, Supporting Armed Forces Veterans, Promoting Sports at All Levels, Funding Research and Development, Developing Rural Communities, Addressing Slum Area Development and Providing Disaster Management, Relief, and Rehabilitation, he added.
In the meeting, Kaushal further highlighted the importance of these efforts for real-time monitoring, ensuring effective implementation, and promoting holistic development in the state through CSR initiatives and projects. The Haryana State CSR Trust (HSCSRT) has a dedicated web portal (haryanacsr.org) where all government departments and districts can submit their prospective CSR projects. These submissions are visible to HSCSRT, government departments, and corporate partners, who can also propose their potential projects via email to HSCSRT, he added.
