A four-member team of the Railway Protection Force’s (RPF) Crime Information Bureau conducted raid on Tuesday at the Kendrapada railway ticket counter and arrested a Railway Reservation Supervisor Bharat Chandra Prusty(48).
The team seized five Tatkal tickets, cash of Rs 17,300 and a mobile phone from his possession of Prusty, said Railways ADG Dayal Gangawar.
Getting information from reliable sources regarding illegal activities has been going on at ticket counter the RPF team led by Jaykrushna Mallick conducted the raid.
Prusty, did not comply with the mandatory personal cash declaration too. During the inquiry, it has also come to the notice of inquiry team that Prusty had stored the Tatkal ticket booking data on his mobile phone illegally.
Legal procedures under Section 179(2) and 143 of Railways Act is being initiated against him, and he is going to be produced before the court, stated Gangawar.
