Rotary club carries afforestation drive at DPS Chas Campus

Rotary Club Chas along with hundreds of students planted saplings of Fruit bearing and medicinal trees of DPS Chas campus ‘Amrit Vatika’.  Founder President of Chas Rotary Sanjay Baidya along with school teachers and students while planting the saplings said that the best way to protect our environment and keep the earth green is to make our mission to go for massive afforestation drive which will not only keep earth temperature human friendly but save us from natural disasters.

Chas Rotary Secretary Dimple Kaur said that everyone should aim to make the common people aware of protecting our environment. “If we want to save the environment, we must plant trees” said Kaur. “Pollution has plagued the entire world with many types of disasters. The only solution to this is tree planting which will protect our environment. Everyone should plant trees in their surroundings” said Vipin Aggarwal of Chas Rotary club.

Notably In her message, Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, Chief Mentor of DPS Chas, said that the protection of the environment is not only our duty but it is also our moral responsibility. “Everyone must plant saplings in their homes and their surrounding areas. We should not only plant trees but also protect them” said Dr. Mohan, adding that planting trees contributes to the conservation of our environment.

On this occasion, Students, teachers and Rotary club members pledged to plant trees and take care of the plants to save the environment. Besides others, school Director Dr. Naveen Sharma, Dean Jose Thomas, Prem Shankar Singh, Archana Singh ( Chas Rotary) were present on the occasion.

Deepali Bhuskute, officiating principal of DPS Chas and Suresh Aggarwal, Secretary of DS Memorial Society, congratulated the students and the staff members for the success of the programme.
