The Brahmapur Traffic Police observed the closing ceremony of the National Highway Road Safety Week on January 17 in the Old Bus-Stand area.
On the occasion, an awareness programme was arranged by the NCC cadets and the students of Brahmapur Skating Academy on security of life and road safety. The programme was attended by Brahmapur SP Dr Saravana Vivek M, Bramhapur Town SDPO Rajiv Lochan Panda, Traffic DSP Akhya Kumar Nayak, DSP Santoshini Oram and other police officers.
Also, a bike rally was held which passed through the Khallikote College, Subarao Square, Tata Benz Square, Komapali Square, MKCG Medical College, Engineering School, Ankuli Over Bridge, Lanjipalli Over Bridge, Girija Square and returned to the Old Bus Stand Traffic Out Post.
Brahmapur Traffic DSP Akhya Kumar Nayak gave flowers and bouquets to the people who wore helmets. The programme was attended by all the IICs including the Cyber Police of Brahmapur Town.
