Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec) Bhopal conducted Road safety and cyber-crime awareness drive with MP Police and Bhopal Traffic Police.
Over 400 students of first-year batch of BTech participated in this workshop. The workshop witnessed the presence of Chief Guest Additional DCP Traffic Basant Kaul, Chief Traffic Warden Sanjay Somani, Kritika Sethia Social and Community Welfare Worker, Principal SISTec Dr. D.K. Rajoria along with program Co-Ordinator Mayank Nema. Vice Principal SISTec Dr Swati Saxena welcomed the guests with a flower bouquet and a welcome speech. Chief guest Additional DCP Basant Kaul informed the students on the road safety and traffic rules and made them aware with examples with video sessions.
He urged the students to follow the road safety and traffic rules and directed them to follow them and stay alert. The college students also asked questions related to road safety and cyber-crime and gave suggestions, for which they were accoladed with mementos by Bhopal Police.
Chief Traffic Warden Sanjay Somani congratulated the students and connected everyone with the awareness drive by the mantra of following of rules with no shortcut to it and directed them to share the rules with family and friends to create awareness. Doordarshan Anchor Mrs. Kretika Gupta Social and welfare Worker was also present in the workshop and shared useful information about cybercrime and its prevention with the students.
She shared the mantra of Your safety in Your Own Hands for transactions through OTP and directed students not to share OTP's with anyone on any financial transactions. The workshop concluded with gratitude and mementos to the chief guests and guests by the Program Coordinator Mayank Nema.
