Ranchi Police, on Friday, has exposed the robbery of Rs 35 lakh that took place on September 11 from the Daily Market police station area. The police team led by Kotwali DSP Prakash Soe took action and arrested six criminals involved in this incident.
Addressing press meet Ranchi City Superintendent of Police (SP), Raj Kumar Mehta said that the arrested criminals include Dheeraj Jalan, Harsh Gupta alias Nishu Gupta, Sachit Sahu, Shyam Sundar Jalan, Arun Bhuiyan and Sunil Kumar Mahato.He said that the Police have also recovered Rs 20, 10000 of loot, one Swift Dezire car, 15 motorcycles and two scooters from them.
The City SP said that a bag full of money was looted by unknown criminals from a businessman who was going to deposit money in SBI Bank on Daily Market Main Road in the lane near the toilet in Bada Talab Road. “On the instructions of the SSP, the SIT team was formed under the leadership of the Kotwali DySP. The police team raided possible hideouts and arrested six criminals involved in this incident,” he added.
“Dheeraj Jalan, the primary accused in this case, was ordered by Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC) to register his presence at Sukhdevnagar police station every Sunday. But Dheeraj Jalan had stopped attending from August 6. After this the police team intensified its action,” said Mehta.
