Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated a high-speed electronic garment factory in Bilaspur district on Monday.
The factory is equipped with electronic sewing machines and will be operated by trained women of Nari Shakti Samiti. It is a part of the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) scheme of the Chhattisgarh government.
On the occasion, Baghel told Gandhi about how women in the state are making good income by manufacturing cow dung paint. The women of Nari Shakti Group presented a coat made in the factory to Gandhi and a kurta pyjama to Baghel.
