In view of the upcoming paddy season, Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Sunday visited ongoing Ranjit Sagar Dam and Shahpurkandi projects. After assessing the ground reality of the work at power house and grid sub-station, the Minister assured that Ranjit Sagar Dam project will be functional on its full capacity to supply power during the ensuing paddy season.
The Minister, while visiting the Shahpur Kandi Dam project, directed the officials of Punjab state power corporation Limited (PSPCL) and the Water Resources Department to complete the project within the certain amount of time.
Expressing satisfaction with the ongoing works at Ranjit Sagar Dam and Shahpurkandi, the Minister said that these projects will play a vanguard role in the field of power generation after completion.
The Minister also visited the Martyrdom Memorial of Ranjit Sagar Dam and paid homage to the workers who were martyred during the construction of this prestigious dam.
