Providing quality and uninterrupted electricity aim of Govt: CM

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that the government is determined to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply to every consumer family of the state. In this series, 132/33 KV (2 x 50 MVA) grid sub-station, Jarmundi and related two way LILO transmission line are being energized today. With the inauguration of this grid sub-station, people will be able to get rid of the problem of electricity in various areas of Dumka and Deoghar districts such as Basukinath pilgrimage site, Taljhari, Ghormara, Jarmundi, Sonarayathadi etc. In the coming time, this grid sub-station will also be connected to different grids.

“Development cannot be imagined without electricity. I convey my best wishes to the officials and employees of Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited, who have taken a firm resolve to provide uninterrupted and quality electricity to every person of the state. I thank all the administrative officials present at the venue of the inauguration ceremony and all the respected citizens for their cooperation in the successful completion of this work,” he said while inaugurating the 132/33 KV grid sub-station Jarmundi and 132 KV double track LILO transmission line online today.

The CM said that due to the shortage of electricity in Dumka and Deoghar districts, now there will be uninterrupted power supply. Now, with the availability of 80 MW additional power, there will be uninterrupted and quality power supply in areas like Basukinath pilgrimage site, Taljhari, Ghoramara, Jarmundi, Sonarayathadi etc. Lakhs of people of these areas will be directly or indirectly benefited and the current problem of low voltage electricity will be solved.

The CM said that today is a very auspicious day. Along with the inauguration of Baba Basukinath and Shravani Mela in Deoghar and Dumka district, a power grid sub-station is also being inaugurated here at this important time. This grid sub-station will work from today to serve the public. Soren said that the power grid sub-station is like a pillar of a house. For uninterrupted power supply in the state, the state government is doing the work of constructing area-wise power grid substations on a large scale. With the construction of a grid sub-station, the problem of low voltage and interruptions in power supply can be solved.

Addressing the public present at the inauguration site online, Soren said that along with better power supply, our government is providing free electricity to those consumer families whose monthly consumption is less than one hundred units. The Chief Minister said that our government is working with public welfare and sensitivity. Our government has also done the work of giving relief on the outstanding electricity bills. The state government has also made a provision to pay the electricity bill money gradually in installments to the electricity bill arrears families.

The CM appealed to the people present at the inauguration ceremony that public participation is also very important in restoring better and qualitative electricity service. The Chief Minister said that you villagers should also take care of such anti-social elements who work to harm the power systems. There are often reports of various types of damage including wire theft by anti-social elements. To stop all these things, it is also necessary to have the attention of the general public.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Badal said in his welcome address from the inauguration site that today is a special day for Dumka and Deoghar districts. The inauguration of 132/33 KV grid sub-station Jarmundi and 132 KV double track LILO transmission line at Taljhari in Jarmundi shows the commitment of the state government. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, historical work is being done continuously in the field of uninterrupted power supply in the state. He said that the trust of the general public has increased towards the present state government. Now consumer families in these areas will get relief from the problem of electricity. The people of the state have a lot of expectations and hopes from the present government. I am sure that the state government will live up to the expectations and expectations of the common man.

On this occasion, State Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Vandana Dadel, Secretary to Chief Minister, Vinay Kumar Choubey, Director of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd., K.K.Verma,  Deputy Commissioner Dumka Ravi Shankar Shukla along with other officials, public representatives and people were present in large numbers.
