Commenting on the recent visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the US, FICCI President, Subhrakant Panda said, “Our Prime Minister’s visit to the United States has been very successful with several substantial outcomes relating to defense acquisitions which will enhance national security, access to critical technology, potential investment in semiconductors, Artemis Accord for space cooperation and settlement of the pending trade disputes.
The cooperation between the US Small Business Administration and India’s MSME Ministry will also be very beneficial for Indian entrepreneurs. This is the start of a new era in the US-India relationship where there is mutual trust and convergence of views on strategic issues. This will benefit not just the two nations but the world at large.”
Shailesh K Pathak, Secretary General, FICCI said, “The visit of the Prime Minister to the US is successful, especially from the business perspective. FICCI is delighted with some specific achievements out of the visit. Under the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET), we already have agreements on defense, space, and semiconductors. Now that government has paved the way, the private sector will rise and partner with American and Indian companies.
The movement of professionals, renewal of H1B visas, and increase in visa offices will help the tech industry. We have managed to settle the WTO disputes bilaterally which is a healthy sign.”
Dinesh Patidar, Chair, FICCI Madhya Pradesh State Council said, “Delighted to witness the strong bonds between India & USA grow even stronger during Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s successful visit. The fruitful discussions & collaborations will undoubtedly pave the way for accelerated economic growth and prosperity for both nations. Exciting times are ahead for the Indian industry.”
