Nurturing ethical values in individuals is of utmost significance, says Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday, while emphasizing the importance of instilling good values in youth alongside material development said that in addition to material progress in life, nurturing ethical values in individuals is of utmost significance. He further stressed that the more society collectively moves in this direction, the more India will progress.

The Chief Minister delivered these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar held on the topic of 'Hamare Bhartiya Sanskaron Ka Mahtav in Panchkula.

He highlighted that values shape attitudes and the efforts are being made by the Sant Samaj through such events to create an environment conducive to instilling positive values in young people.

During his address, the Chief Minister mentioned that a Cyclothon, as part of the drug de-addiction campaign, is being organized in Haryana starting from September 1. This initiative aims to motivate youth to distance themselves from drugs. He emphasized the significance of imparting good values to the youth through knowledge and education. He underlined that India is gaining global attention due to its strong moral values.

The Chief Minister also said that youth acquire positive values from spiritual programs within society. He expressed pride in the fact that the Gita's sermon in Kurukshetra, Haryana, is a unique example of Lord Shri Krishna discussing ethics on the battlefield. He emphasized the continued relevance of the teachings of the Gita in today's world, as it guides us in the art of living. He said that International Gita Mahotsav is being organized with the aim of spreading the essence of Gita to the common people. We have also started International Gita Mahotsav programs in about a dozen countries so that the message of Gita can reach every corner of the world. Besides, verses of Gita have been made mandatory in education also.

The Chief Minister also shared the ambitious goal set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India to become a 5 trillion-dollar economy within the next 3 years. Moving forward in this direction, we will be on the path of continuous progress, he added.
