The National Integration Camp 2023 should be established as an ideal symbol of national unity, Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Central University at Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, said on Monday.
He was addressing the inaugural event of the seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) at the university premises.
NSS volunteers from 12 states are participating in the event organized jointly by the Regional Directorate of National Service Scheme, Bhopal, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, New Delhi, an official communication said.
He said young NSS volunteers will get an opportunity to know and understand each other's art and culture. The spirit of discipline and dedication is inculcated at the heart of the National Service Scheme.
Prof MK Verma, Vice Chancellor, Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai, said India is a symbol of unity in diversity.
