The political turmoil over the comments made by opposition leaders on Sanatan dharma is showing no signs of let-up with the Bahujan Samaj Party MP now opening a front and attacking those speaking against it.
Tamil Nadu minister and DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and leader of Uttar Pradesh’s major opposition party Samajwadi Party Swami Prasad Maurya were seen spewing venom against Sanatan dharma. Due to this, anger was seen amongst the public while the politics of the country as well as the state became heated over the issue.
BSP MP Malook Nagar, while opening a front against those making objectionable comments on Sanatan dharma, said: “Whosoever is speaking against Sanatan dharma is wrong; it is the responsibility of Congress that none of its constituents should speak against it. No one has the right to speak against anyone else’s caste and religion.”
It is clear from these statements of Malook Nagar that by taking the name of the Congress, included in the INDIA bloc, he was directly targeting Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya and Tamil Nadu minister and DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin.
Nagar said that people should work within the ambit of law. “Whosoever works for the country is right,” he said, adding that backward people should get reservation.
The BSP leader also attacked the Congress which is running shoulder to shoulder with the Samajwadi Party and DMK in the INDIA bloc. Both DMK and SP leaders have so far spoken against Sanatan dharma.
