Kolar road police arrested the accused of attempt at murder who was absconding for 5 months and was carrying a reward of Rs 2000 Banjari Dussehra ground; police have recovered a sharp edged weapon.
The Kolar police after receiving information of an absconding accused reached the spot and tracked the accused identified as Akash Garg alias Sumit.
The police have registered under sections 294, 323, 324, 326, 506, 34 and 307 of the IPC and in the case accused was absconding for 5 months.
Police said that on May 20, 2023, the accused Akash Garg, along with his associate Raju Matiyani and three other associates, attacked Shashikant Jawa with sharp weapons with the intention of killing him. Based on the report of the complainant, the crime was registered and taken up for investigation. In the case, a minor was caught on the day of the attack while remaining 4 accused in the case were absconding from the date of the incident and out of the four Akash Garg was arrested. The search for the remaining absconding accused is going on.
Meanwhile Ashoka Garden police have seized liquor from a bootlegger ,a total 18 liters worth Rs 28920 was recovered by the police.
Police said that based on information regarding a person who was keeping liquor inside a white sack at Ashoka Garden industrial area near Verma Bus Factory police team reached the spot and detained the person. Identified as Devendra Singh of Durgesh Vihar JK Road was carrying white colored sack, 2 brown colored cartons in which 18 litres of liquor was found.
