MP Transco energizes Railway Traction Feeder for rail operations in Katangi region

Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP Transco) has constructed a railway traction feeder for South East Central Railway for smooth operation of railway trains  in Katangi area. After construction,inspection and testing of this RTS feeder line charged successfully last day at a cost of about 12 crores .

Sh.Deepak Joshi, Chief Engineer, Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company said that the South East Central Railway had demanded a 132 V traction feeder for rail operations on the Balaghat-Katangi section. After completing all the formalities by the Railways, MP Transco succeeded in energizing this feeder and line by constructing it.

Shri Joshi informed that Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company has provided power supply through total 47 towers to this 11.5 kilometer feeder from 132 KV substation Katangi to railway traction substation Katangi. Whose cost is around 12 crores. With the commissioning of this traction feeder, one more power supply has now become available for the Balaghat-Katangi section of the railway. Earlier Balaghat-Katangi section was operated from 132KV Lalbarra substation of MP Transco through 132KV RTS feeder Samanpur, with the construction of this RTS feeder about 60 km of Balaghat-Katangi -Tirodi rail section will be benefited in which the railways will be able to get not interrupted  quality electricity.
