On February 26, the examination will be conducted by the MP State Open School Education Board (State Open Board) for admission to class IX in School of Excellence and model schools. For this, interested candidates can apply till January 15. The Board of School Education has issued guidelines in this regard.

It is noteworthy that during the Covid period, students were given admission in these schools on the basis of merit, now admission will be done through entrance examination. There will be an examination for admission in all these of the district and block level model schools. The application process for this has been started.

It is worthy to mention here that the entrance examination for admission in class IX for the education session 2023-24 in 52 Schools of Excellence and development block level 313 model schools of the state's district headquarters will be held on February 26 from 9.45 am to 12.15 pm. Students can submit the application form through MP Online.

Eligibility for admission to the examination should be 8th pass or studying. It will be mandatory to score a minimum of 33 percent in the entrance test for admission in schools. On the basis of the entrance test, a merit list of all the students will be prepared and admission will be given on the basis of available seats. Examination will be conducted at all 313 development block headquarters of the state for admission in district for School of Excellence and model schools.
