MP police takes effective action against radical organisations

In the year 2023, Madhya Pradesh Police has taken effective action against radical organizations and mafias along with crime control in the state, which has increased the sense of security among the citizens.

Madhya Pradesh police is committed to the safety and respect of women and girls. Many efforts were made by the police towards their empowerment and making them self-reliant. While enhancing capabilities at the ground level, the police also strengthened the technical machinery, using which there was remarkable success in detecting heinous and serious crimes.

With the aim of making the society aware and empowering, the reach to the last line person was increased through community policing. To make the police physically and mentally efficient, skill enhancement and capacity upgradation of the police personnel was also done. The police gave meaning to its motto “patriotism-public service”.

Peace and law and order maintained in the state. Assembly elections in the year 2023 should be conducted in a completely fair, transparent and fear-free manner. Voters turned out with enthusiasm and record voting.

Appropriate security arrangements were made in the state for national and international level events like Pravasi Bharatiya Conference, G-20 Conference, Khelo India Youth Games, Air Show.

Action was taken as part of the strategy by creating an institutional mechanism to identify the youth who were influenced by radicalism and becoming violent. This is the reason why peace was restored in Madhya Pradesh.

In the year 2023, all Teej-festivals should be completed in a peaceful and harmonious environment.

Police remained steadfast for internal security, strict action against anti-national forces. Continuous action was taken against anti-national forces in Madhya Pradesh. Three major actions have been taken in the year 2023. In these operations, Hawk Force has neutralized 4 hardcore Naxalites including 2 female Naxalites. A reward of Rs 14 lakh each was declared on all these Naxalites.

Female Naxalite Sarita and Sunita were killed in the Kadla encounter in April 2023. Naxalite Kamlu has also been neutralized in the encounter in Kundul-Kondapur forest area in September. On December 14, Hawkforce also destroyed Madkam Hidma alias Chaitu Hidma.

In order to get the cooperation of the general public and to provide employment to the local youth living in the affected development blocks of Naxal affected districts, a "Special Support Squad" has been formed.

In August 2023, absconding Naxalite Ashok Reddy, a member of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee of the banned organization CPI, was arrested from Jabalpur (more than 60 serious crimes registered against Ashok Reddy in Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, reward of Rs 82 lakh).

Madhya Pradesh Police took effective action against banned organizations HUT, JMB and PFI.

In May 2023, 16 members of the radical organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir/Tehreek-e-Khilaf were arrested in a planned raid by ATS, Madhya Pradesh, including 10 from Bhopal, one from Chhindwara and 5 from Hyderabad. . A huge amount of Jihadi literature, technical equipment, air guns, shrapnel, combat knives, iron rods, knives, and secrets were recovered from the arrested accused.
