Criticizing the BJP for misuse of the District Mineral Fund (DMF) during their 15-year regime, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday said now the government has ensured its meaningful utilization.
Taking to Twitter, Baghel said earlier the DMF was used to construct swimming pool in official bungalows and installing elevators in government buildings.
“Now, during our tenure, we have ensured the rightful use of the fund. It is used to construct schools, small culverts and bridges as well as fight malnutrition and malaria," he said.
The change in tribal-dominated Bastar and Surguja region can now be seen and it has happened because of DMF use for development, Baghel tweeted. “It was shameful that when I asked the officials after becoming Chief Minister what changes we see in tribal life during BJP rule, they bowed their heads and said there was no change.”
