A minor tribal girl student studying in class 10th has been raped in Gumla district. The victim is five months pregnant. The student has lodged an FIR in Gumla police station. In which he has accused a 16-year-old minor boy of the village of rape. The accused minor is absconding.

The girl has informed that the accused always used to tease her while going from home to school and he used to pressure to talk forcibly and also he used to threaten to kill if she protested.

The girl has also informed that on February 20, when she was going home from school, that day she also met that boy forcibly started flirting with her. “Taking advantage of the deserted place, he started pulling her and raped her. After this, he was threatened that if she told anything to anyone, he would kill her and her parents. That's why the scared student did not say anything to anyone,” she added.

On July 18, 2023, suddenly the victim had a stomach. Then she told the whole thing to her mother. On investigation, it was found that the girl is 5 months pregnant. A few days ago the girl was admitted to Gumla Sadar Hospital in critical condition from where she has been discharged.

Meanwhile, a case of indecent of a teacher has come to light from a government school in Barhet police station area of Sahibganj district where a case of molestation with a minor student took place. The teacher has been arrested following an uproar by the parents regarding this. The girl student's father lodged an FIR after which the accused principal has been taken into custody under the POCSO Act.

 At the same time, the student has also been sent to the Child Line Welfare Committee for a statement.

Sahibganj DC, Ram Niwas Yadav has also asked the District Education Officer and Superintendent of Education to investigate and submit the report immediately and  he also said that in such cases the guilty will not be spared. The District SP, Anuranjan Kispotta has also said that the police will take the strictest action on such cases.

On getting information about the molestation of the schoolgirl, the parents along with the children reached the school on Saturday morning. The guardians interrogated the accused Headmaster, Mohammad Shamshad Ali. The headmaster pleaded innocent and started misbehaving with a female guardian. On this the parents thrashed the headmaster. The girl students say that the intention of the headmaster is not right and now he should not come to the school
