Widespread unseasonal rains in various districts of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday afternoon pushed down the temperature greatly. The rainfall was accompanied with winds.
The cites of Raipur, Durg and Rajnandgaon were lashed with moderate rains.
Chhattisgarh woke up to a cool morning on Tuesday followed by the unseasonal rainfall after noon.
Due to fog, visibility was poor in the morning, posing difficulties to motorists.
The meteorological department said the change in weather condition was due to western disturbances and due to a cyclic cyclonic upper wind which was extended over Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Chhattisgarh will witness a similar weather on Wednesday too. Heavy rainfall with lightning is expected in one or two places in state, the Met said.
Northern Chhattisgarh in particular will see inclement weather.
