Man dies after being hit by debris

One person died after being hit by a boulder in the Kapkot area of the district on Sunday. The police conducted the post mortem and handed the body to the victim’s family. On Sunday, Urba Dutt Pathak of Badet village in Kapkot Tehsil was cutting grass in the forest. Debris and boulders from the road cutting uphill fell on him and the man landed in a ditch. The police was informed and the man was pulled out of the ditch to be transported to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The deceased used to work in Delhi and had come home four days ago. He had lost his son Karan Pathak in a 2010 landslide.  The deceased has left behind three daughters and his wife.
